Update (7.30.21)

Happy Friday Crane Family,

We made it! We've officially finished our first week in the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you to everyone for making it a great one!

Please remember, our updates will be biweekly.
  • The Crane Mitigation Plan has been revised and is available online at www.craneschools.org and on every Crane school webpage. Updates to the plan will be notated on page 1 of the Mitigation Plan.
    • Effective as of June 1, 2021, face mask usage became optional for all students and staff members while on school campuses and facilities.
    • Effective as of August 2, 2021, face mask usage will be required for all students and staff while on school buses in compliance with federal public transportation laws. Please read the mitigation plan (page 5) for more on this decision.
    • We will keep you updated as to any change in state law, case transmission trends, and guidance and recommendations provided by local, state, and federal health professionals, as well as decisions made by our district administrative team. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

  • CDC Updates to Face Mask usage: On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their guidance on the use of face masks in schools. They now recommend universal indoor face mask usage for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status given new evidence of the B.1.617.2 variant, also known as the Delta variant. We respect all choices, and appreciate your cooperation with this topic, as well as our other COVID-19 mitigation strategies, available at www.craneschools.org.
