Welcome to Centennial Middle School
friendly welcome.
Centennial Middle School, home of the wolves, has developed a rich
tradition of academic excellence based on student-centered goals.
Our professional learning community strives to maintain high expectations
for all staff members and students. We believe that a clear focus on the individual academic needs of our students provides a path toward success for each student on our campus. While we are committed to making each student’s time at Centennial fun and enjoyable, we also take seriously the responsibility granted us to ensure that every student learns successfully.
We believe that every student can learn and learning is fun, so we maintain a progressive middle school philosophy that is student-oriented. It is the staff’s desire to instill within each student a love of learning in order to influence a community of lifelong learners.

Principal

Sonya Green,
Assistant Principal
As your Assistant Principal, I want to thank you for the opportunity to work with our dedicated staff, our parents, and our students here at Centennial. There will always be challenges ahead of us, but it is essential to recognize that those challenges are there to give us a chance to build character, to learn, and to grow.
Ever since I was in 5th grade I knew I wanted to be in education. Born and raised here in Yuma, I have been an educator for over 25 years. I am a member of the Arizona Educational Foundation’s Principal Leadership Academy, and formerly a Writing Coordinator. I also served as an Instructional Coach and a Lead Teacher. My teaching experience ranges from elementary level to middle school, and I was a Yuma County Finalist for Teacher of the Year.
I look forward to working with you as we bridge the gap between home and school. Together, we can ensure that every student has opportunities to excel, while at the same time, helping them build positive relationships that will last a lifetime. With a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and a good character, I believe anyone can achieve great things.
